AFLUNOX™ Perfluoropolyether Oils
PFPE oil maintaining stable lubrication performance even under severe conditions
Product Description
AFLUNOX perfluoropolyether (PFPE) oil offers outstanding heat resistance, chemical resistance, and low vapor pressure. Because it demonstrates excellent lubrication properties even in harsh environments, it is ideal for a wide range of industries and applications.
Features
- Demonstrates excellent heat resistance, maintaining lubricity even under high-temperature conditions above 300°C.
- Provides high resistance to a variety of chemicals, including organic solvents such as octane and hexane, organic and mineral acids, alkalis, amines, and more.
- Can be used under high loads without seizure.
- Does not adversely affect rubber, resins, or metals, enabling application across wide-ranging materials.
- Used for medical and food-related applications because it is physically and chemically inert.
Characteristics
PFPE is chemically stable due to its polyether structure, which consists of high-energy carbon-fluorine bonds. Among various oils, it exhibits the highest levels of heat resistance, chemical resistance, and load-carrying capacity, as well as exceptionally low vapor pressure. As a result, it is widely adopted in industries with stringent specifications, including aerospace, automotive, chemical processing, and electronics.

Evaluation Test Results
Thermal Stability Test (Test Method: JIS K 0129)
AFLUNOX offers excellent high-temperature stability, with its high-viscosity grades in particular maintaining stability even at temperatures above 350°C.
Vapor Pressure Measurement Test (Test Method: Knudsen Effusion)
AFLUNOX features low vapor pressure, and the V series in particular offers even lower vapor pressure than standard grades, making it ideal for high-vacuum applications.
Industry-Specific Solutions
AFLUNOX PFPE oil can be blended with various thickeners to formulate specialty greases suitable for demanding applications in the aerospace, automotive, the chemical and electronics industries. It can also be used as a lubricant on its own, delivering excellent performance in critical conditions such as high-vacuum environments.
